Reusable Bag Molding is a process that shares similarities with Vacuum Infusion Processing (VIP), but offers several key advantages. The primary benefit of this process is its reusable vacuum bag, which can withstand hundreds of cycles, eliminating the need for disposable materials such as vacuum bag film and sealant tape. Additionally, sealing the vacuum bag to the mold is much faster than in traditional VIP methods. As a result, Reusable Bag Molding provides excellent part-to-part consistency and ease of conversion from open molding. Furthermore, Reusable Bag Molding molds can be designed to accommodate intricate parts and can also be adapted for layup solutions to create hollow parts. The process also offers temperature flexibility, making it an attractive alternative to traditional open molding methods.
